More Community Health Charities Members in the News!

Corporate Member in Focus: Echo Global
This past holiday season, Echo Global Logistics, one of our workplace giving business partners, elected to give to charity in lieu of gifts to its employees. Thank you, Echo, for your generosity and leadership.

Member Charity of the Month: Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
January 23–29, 2017 is National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week®, a national health observance for teens to dispel false beliefs about alcohol and drugs. Drinking and driving, or driving and drugging, has become an epidemic among teenagers.
In fact, a national poll of 11th and 12th graders found that more than a third of teens mistakenly believe they drive better under the influence of marijuana (As cited in Janet Loehrke, USA TODAY). For warning signs to watch for if you suspect a teen of underage drinking or to get statistics for your state, visit MADD.org.

Cause of the Month: Human Trafficking
Since 2007, the month of January has been observed as Sex and Human Trafficking Awareness Month per presidential proclamation. Now more than ever, it is imperative that businesses, communities and the government raise awareness of this epidemic. Learn more about the cause and resources available on our human trafficking resources page. You can also learn about Restore Her Heart, a project of Community Health Charities that provides funds to assist victims of human trafficking.
